Ranks and Rank Responsibilities

Recruit (Rct.)
Permitted Positions:
- Training Cadre
Administrative Duties:
- Maintain active contact with their superior officer.
- Remain active on the forums.
Battlefield Responsibilities:
- Listen for and obey orders.
- Stay with their assigned unit unless given orders otherwise.

Private (Pvt.)
Permitted Positions:
- Signal Corps
Administrative Duties:
- Maintain active contact with their superior officer.
- Sign Biweekly Muster.
- Actively check their Battalion’s section of the forums.
Battlefield Responsibilities:
- Listen for and obey orders.

Private First Class (PFC.)
Permitted Positions:
- Signal Corps
- Unit Administrative Division
Administrative Duties:
- Maintain active contact with their superior officer.
- Sign Biweekly Muster.
- Actively check their Battalion’s section of the forums.
Battlefield Responsibilities:
- Listen for and obey orders.
- Stay with their assigned unit unless given orders otherwise.

Corporal (Cpl.)
Permitted Positions:
- Signal Corps
- Unit Administrative Division
Administrative Duties:
- Maintain active contact with their superior officer.
- Sign Biweekly Muster.
- Actively check their Battalion’s section of the forums.
Battlefield Responsibilities:
- Listen for and obey orders.
- Stay with their assigned unit unless given orders otherwise.

Sergeant (Sgt.)
Permitted Positions:
- Unit Signal Corps
- Unit Administrative Division
- Unit Liaison Division
Administrative Duties:
- Maintain active contact with their superior officer.
- Sign Biweekly Muster.
- Actively check their Battalion’s section of the forums.
- May be assigned extra duties in the absence of an LC or ALC.
Battlefield Responsibilities:
- Listen for and obey orders.
- Stay with their assigned unit unless given orders otherwise.
- May take command of a small group if ordered to do so.

Sergeant Major (SGM.)
Permitted Positions:
- Unit Signal Corps
- Unit Administrative Division
- Unit Liaison Division
- Unit Training Division
- Assistant Lance Commander
Administrative Duties:
- Maintain active contact with their superior officer.
- Sign Biweekly Muster.
- Actively check their Battalion’s section of the forums.
- May be assigned extra duties in the absence of an LC or ALC.
- Design and execute training programs for their Lance or Company based on their needs.
Battlefield Responsibilities:
- Listen for and obey orders.
- Stay with their assigned unit unless given orders otherwise.
- May take command of a Lance in the absence of the LC or ALC.

Command Sergeant Major (CSM.)
Permitted Positions:
- Unit Signal Corps
- Unit Administrative Division
- Unit Liaison Division
- Assistant Lance Commander
- Lance Commander
Administrative Duties:
- Maintain active contact with their superior officer.
- Sign Biweekly Muster.
- Actively check their Battalion’s section of the forums.
- Assist the Lance Commander with their duties. (See Lance Commander)
Battlefield Responsibilities:
- Listen for and obey orders.
- Take command of their unit should the unit’s command become killed in action or unable to give orders.
- Stay with their assigned unit unless given orders otherwise.
- Second in command to a single Lance.

Lieutenant (Lt.)
Permitted Positions:
- Unit Signal Corps
- Unit Administrative Division
- Unit Liaison Division
- Unit Training Division
- Lance Commander
- Company Executive Officer
Administrative Duties:
- Maintain active contact with their superior officer.
- Report Lance’s status to commanding officer and/or post it in a pre-designated area on the forums should their commander instruct them to do so.
- Sign Biweekly Muster.
- Actively check their Battalion’s section of the forums.
- Maintain their Lance’s section of the order of battle (ORBAT).
Battlefield Responsibilities:
- Listen for and obey orders.
- Stay with their assigned unit unless given orders otherwise.
- Commands a Lance.

Captain (Capt.)
Permitted Positions:
- Unit Signal Corps
- Unit Administrative Division
- Unit Liaison Division
- Unit Training Division
- Lance Commander
- Company Executive Officer
Administrative Duties:
- Maintain active contact with their superior officer.
- Report Lance’s status to commanding officer and/or post it in a pre-designated area on the forums should their commander instruct them to do so.
- Sign Biweekly Muster.
- Actively check their Battalion’s section of the forums.
- Maintain their Lance and Company section of the ORBAT.
- Assist Company Commanding Officer with their duties. (See CoCO)
Battlefield Responsibilities:
- Listen for and obey orders.
- Stay with their assigned unit unless given orders otherwise.
- Commands a Lance.
- Takes Command of their company should the Company Command Officer be killed in action or unable to give orders.

Major (Maj.)
Permitted Positions:
- Unit Signal Corps
- Unit Administrative Division
- Unit Liaison Division
- Unit Training Division
- Lance Commander
- Company Commanding Officer
- Battalion Executive Officer
Administrative Duties:
- Maintain active contact with their superior officer.
- Report Lance’s status to commanding officer and/or post it in a pre-designated area on the forums should their commander instruct them to do so.
- Sign Biweekly Muster.
- Actively check their Battalion’s section of the forums.
- Maintain their Lance and Company section of the ORBAT.
- Hold regular formations with their Company to address issues and recognize achievements of their unit.
- Run a regular training schedule for their unit.
Battlefield Responsibilities:
- Stay with their assigned unit unless given orders otherwise.
- Commands a Lance.
- Commands their company.
- Part of the Regimental Command Lance.

Lieutenant Colonel (Lt.Col.)
Permitted Positions:
- Unit Signal Corps
- Unit Administrative Division
- Unit Liaison Division
- Unit Training Division
- Lance Commander
- Battalion Executive Officer
- Battalion Commanding Officer
Administrative Duties:
- Maintain active contact with their superior officer.
- Report Lance’s status to commanding officer and/or post it in a pre-designated area on the forums should their commander instruct them to do so.
- Sign Biweekly Muster.
- Actively check and administrate their Battalion’s section of the forums.
- Maintain their Lance and Battalion section of the ORBAT.
- Receive and process reports from the officers under them.
- Ensure the officers under them are executing their jobs correctly.
Battlefield Responsibilities:
- May take any position on the field they deem necessary.
- Part of the Regimental Command Lance.

Colonel (Col.)
Has full command of the Regiment.
Permitted Positions:
- Unit Signal Corps
- Unit Administrative Division
- Unit Liaison Division
- Unit Training Division
- Lance Commander
- Battalion Commanding Officer
- Regimental Commanding Officer
Administrative Duties:
- Maintain active contact with their officers and unit members.
- Report Lance’s status to needed officers and/or post it in a pre-designated area on the forums as required.
- Sign Biweekly Muster.
- Actively check and administrate the forums.
- Maintain their Regiment’s section of the ORBAT.
- Receive and process reports from the officers under them.
- Ensure the officers under them are executing their jobs correctly.
Battlefield Responsibilities:
- May take any position on the field they deem necessary.
- Part of the Regimental Command Lance.

ROLES, TITLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

MECHWARRIOR (MW)

RANK: Recruit (Rct.) - Sergeant (Sgt.)
- Recruit (Rct.) 1 - 30 Days
- Private (Pvt.) 31 - 90 Days
- Private First Class (PFC.) 91 -180 Days
- Corporal (Cpl.) 181 - 270 Days
- Sergeant (Sgt.) 271+
ROLL: The Mechwarrior is the body of our force.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Remain active within their Lance.

ASSISTANT LANCE COMMANDER (ALC)
RANK: Command Sergeant Major (CSM.)
ROLL: The ALC runs all in game lance activities in lieu of the Lance Commander. Second in command of their Lance.
RESPONSIBILITIES: To assist their Lance Commander with their responsibilities (See Lance Commander).

LANCE COMMANDER (LC)
RANK: Lieutenant (Lt.) - Major (Maj.)
- CoCO: Major (Maj.)
- CoXO: Captain (Capt.)
- LL: Lieutenant (Lt.)
- Sergeant Major (SGM.).
ROLL: Each Lance is assigned one of the three personal running the company. The Lance Commander runs their Lance.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensure activity and maintain personal within their Lance. Give a weekly report to their Company Commanding Officer (CoCO) on the condition and combat effectiveness of their Lance. Maintain their Lance’s section of the ORBAT.

COMPANY SERGEANT MAJOR (CoSM)
RANK: Command Sergeant Major (CSM.)
ROLL: Training NCO for the company.
RESPONSIBILITIES: The CoSM designs and runs all training on the Company level in coordination with what the CoCO and CoXO need the Company to do.

COMPANY EXECUTIVE OFFICER (CoXO)
RANK: Lieutenant (Lt.)
ROLL: The CoXO helps the CoCO manage the Company and runs all in game Company activities in lieu of it’s CoCO. Second in command of the Company.
RESPONSIBILITIES: To assist their CoCO with their responsibilities (See Company Commanding Officer).

COMPANY COMMANDING OFFICER (CoCO)
RANK: Captain (Capt.)
ROLL: The CoCO runs the entire Company.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensure activity and maintain personal within their Company. Give a weekly report to their Battalion Commanding Officer (BnCO) on the condition and combat effectiveness of their Company. Check and maintain ORBAT for their entire Company

BATTALION EXECUTIVE OFFICER (BnXO)
RANK: Major (Maj.)
ROLL: The BnXO helps the BnCO mange the Battalion. Second in command of the Battalion.
RESPONSIBILITIES: To assist their BnCO with their responsibilities (See Company Commanding Officer). A BnXO may fill in any command position on the battlefield should a lower position be killed or missing from the game. BnXO commands one of the three Companies below him.

BATTALION COMMANDING OFFICER (BnCO)
RANK: Lieutenant Colonel (Lt.Col.)
ROLL: The BnCO runs their entire Battalion.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensure activity and maintain personal within their Battalion. Give a weekly report to their Regiment’s Commanding Officer (RgCO) on the condition and combat effectiveness of their Battalion. Check and maintain ORBAT for their entire battalion. A BnCO may fill in any command position on the battlefield should a lower position be killed or missing from the game. The BnCO is in charge of their own private lance that is attached to the Battalion’s headquarters.

REGIMENT EXECUTIVE OFFICER (RgXO)
RANK: Lieutenant Colonel (Lt.Col.)
ROLL: The RgXO helps the RgCO manage the Battalion. Second in command of the Regiment.
RESPONSIBILITIES: To assist their RgCO with their responsibilities (See Company Commanding Officer). A RgXO may fill in any command position on the battlefield should a lower position be killed or missing from the game. Attached to the Regiment command Lance.

REGIMENT COMMANDING OFFICER (RgCO)
RANK: Colonel (Col.)
ROLL: The RgCO runs their entire Regiment. They command 1 private Lance.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensure activity and maintain personal within their Regiment. The RgCO is the highest ranking person in the unit and makes all final decisions on what goes on in the unit. The RgCO may fill in any command position on the battlefield should a lower position be killed or missing from the game. The RgCO is in charge of their own private lance that is attached to the Regiment’s headquarters.
